Dealing with the parents


It always seems like no matter what you can't please your parents. We all know they don't understand the pressures and other difficulties we face being teenagers. We have to deal with school work, sports, relationships, grades, and balance it all out. Then we come home after all of that and deal with our parents being down our throats. It really is a difficult thing, and its hard to escape when you don't have a choice but to be around them.

What are you thankful for?

So Thanksgiving is coming up soon, and I am sure we are very excited. All the meals, your family, no school, it's all great. We're all very thankful for these things, but there is also other things we are thankful for. What are you thankful for? Really think about it to.
I am thankful for my friends, my family, to have food, plently of things. More than anything though I am thankful for my life, and the way I am able to live it.
You should be thankful for yours too.

Denied!

Well the system is cracking down hard again, and since mainly peers from my school read this i think its a good topic to talk about.
With our highschool we have limited sites to access, and a few years ago we could hardly get onto any site! Then the school got lenient and we were able to be on facebook, and just about everyother site. Well now this school year those privledges taken away from us. Unfortunatley we students have been viewed had had been taking advantage of the allowed access we have. Wich that is kind of true, but at the same time we were not taking advantage of it, it was givin to us. Us students tend to get bored, like in study hall. Now we have nothing to do, but it is something we will have to deal with. Everytime i enter the computer labs someone is complaining. Its getting old, the complaining isnt going to change it, unfortunatley.

Peer Pressure!

Highschools is full of teenagers influencing peer pressure and under peer pressure. Sometimes students are peer pressuring and don't even realize it.  When your under it, you can let them bring you down. You need too stand up for what you want to do, and for what you believe in. Don't just let others control you, if you do you will never be your own person that way. Whatever you do do it for you, be who you want to be.

Building a Better Bridge

Ever have someone you weren't excatly on good terms with, and you wish you could fix it but you just fill like there is just no possible way it could be done? Well it can, trust me. You just got to give it sometime and hopefully it'll all blow over. Just incase that doesn't work though, the best thing you could is repsect them and their space. Maybe you did something apologize and then let them have their space, because you don't wanna get to carried away with apologizing. Every fight just needs a good, sincere apology and sometime. I promise things should get better,they always do.
If for some reason they don't though, all you can really do then is just let it go. If they can't/won't, and you had a very nice apology there's nothing more you can do then just let it go and make new friends.

That Time if the Year

It's getting to be that time of the year when everything seems to go down hill. It is becoming winter, and the semester is coming to its sezond half. At this point highschoolers stop trying, then pick up their slack at the end of the year. Well i say dont be like that, its actually the best time of the year! We have Thanksgiving and Christmas break. Dont be a downer and slack, you have made it this far keep pushing. Before you know it the scholl year will be halfway over, then summer break!  Everyone always said that once you get into highschool time goes by fast. Now im a senior and i deffinatley agree!

Take some time just for you..


Sometimes life just gets a little too overwhelming & we need a break! Some time just for you and a time to lay back and forget about your worries and quit stressing just a little.

Here are some ways to calm yourself:

-Take a warm bubble bath , make sure it's not too warm though, too much heat isn't good.

-Take a walk, a little exercise never hurt anyone, its actually a great way to feel better. Find a peaceful spot and just take in nature.

-Turn on your i-pod, to some relaxing music of course, nothing negative ,maybe just some instrumental music.

-Turn your eating habits around! Junk food really isn't good for you, its pretty true you are what you eat...so all those hamburgers consumed may be one of the reasons you aren't feeling too good! Make yourself a smoothie, or snack on some fruits and veggies, blueberries actually have something in them that calms and relaxes you. So be creative and healthy.

-A good old nap could really rejuvenate you , not a nap that takes up your whole day,but about a half an hour could really help you feel better! Too much sleep can also make you feel worse, so balance it out!
